Work is now completed on The Royal Terrace Gardens

The structural work on the Royal Terrace Gardens - (also known as Rock Walk) is now complete and a new illuminated staircase leading to a viewing platform with spectacular views over looking Tor Bay has been installed.

A spectacular line-up of top entertainment, vibrant country life features and strengthened agricultural content will make the 117th Devon County Show held on May 17-19 at Westpoint, Exeter ‘the biggest day out of the year’.

Headline entertainment will be provided by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who will perform their popular musical ride twice a day; the Mounties will be in the UK to take part HM The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant and also to appear at the County Show.

Highlights this year include:

• Twice daily performances by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
• Visit by Britain’s favourite farmer, Adam Henson from BBC’s Countryfile, on Thursday when he will judge classes for rare breed sheep
• New Taste of the West food court serving snacks for visitors to eat at the Show
• Mole Valley Farmers – Centre for Agriculture and ‘Forage For Profit’ grass trial plots
• And finally, a spade billed as ‘the world’s biggest’ is coming to the Flower & Garden marquee – all 13’ of it!
